A passkey lets you sign in by unlocking your device or password manager instead of typing a password. The prompt you see depends on your browser, device, and passkey provider.
Add or remove: in the passkey settings in Personal Settings
Sign in: choose the passkey option on the sign-in screen
Keep a backup: retain another working way to sign in
Add a Passkey
Open Personal Settings.
Open the passkey settings.
Choose the option to add a passkey.
Follow the device or password-manager prompt.
Confirm that the passkey appears in your settings.
Sign in With a Passkey
Choose the passkey option on the sign-in screen.
Follow the prompt from your device or password manager.
Good to know: if your setup supports using a passkey from another device, follow the instructions shown by the browser.
Remove a Passkey
Open the passkey settings in Personal Settings.
Select the passkey you no longer want to use.
Remove it.
Make sure you retain another working way to sign in.
