A transaction’s type describes the activity. Its status describes the current processing result.
Status | Meaning |
Pending | The operation hasn’t reached its final result |
Success | The operation has completed successfully |
Declined | A payment attempt wasn’t approved |
Reversed | The original operation has been reversed |
Types of Activity
Activity | Meaning |
Card payment | A payment attempt made with a card. Check its status to see whether it completed. |
Card refund | A merchant’s return of funds for an earlier card payment. |
Card issuance | The charge associated with issuing cards. |
Deposit | Funds arriving in an account. |
Withdrawal | Funds sent to an external destination. |
Transfer | Funds moved between accounts in your organization. |
Swap | An exchange between currencies or assets in an account. |
Read the Status
Pending: the operation hasn’t reached its final result.
Success: the operation has completed successfully.
Declined: a payment attempt wasn’t approved.
Reversed: the original operation has been reversed. Review its details and any related return to understand the effect on the funds.
Other failure or cancellation labels may appear depending on the operation. Read the message in its details before retrying.
A payment not completing doesn’t necessarily mean no fee applies. Check the fee details and Ads Cards Fees.
A Returned Card Payment
The original payment and the return may appear as separate records. Use Ads Card Refunds and Reversals to distinguish a refund from an authorization reversal.
