Crypto Transfers Under Review

Why a crypto deposit or withdrawal may need AML review, what to do while it is open, and possible outcomes.

Every crypto deposit and withdrawal on Kolo passes anti-money-laundering (AML) screening. Most transfers clear it instantly, but some need additional review before they can be completed.

  • Most transfers: clear screening instantly

  • Under review: a deposit may not be available to spend yet; an outgoing transfer may remain incomplete

  • Don’t: resend the same transfer or change its route to work around the review

  • Review times: depend on the case

What to Do

  1. Check the transaction status and your notifications.

  2. Read any request from Kolo.

  3. Provide the information requested through the channel the team specifies.

  4. Keep the Transaction ID and transaction hash available.

We may request additional information about a transfer before the review can be completed.

While the Review Is Open

A deposit may not yet be available to spend. An outgoing transfer may remain incomplete.

Don’t resend the same transfer or change its route to work around the review. Contact us if you need an update.

The Outcome

Our team will explain the next step for your transfer. Depending on the review, it may proceed or require more information.

Flagged transfer

What can happen

Deposit

May not be credited and can be returned to the sender

Withdrawal

May be cancelled. The funds are returned to your account balance

Review times depend on the case. We may be unable to share details of the checks themselves.

Deposits From HTX

Avoid sending deposits to Kolo directly from the HTX exchange. These transfers can trigger additional review and may be delayed or fail. Fund your account from another supported wallet or exchange instead.

Already sent a transfer from HTX? Check your account balance first. If it hasn’t arrived, contact us with the transaction details. Don’t resend the same transfer while it’s under review.
